Cantante y comediante estadounidense. Actuó en vodeviles y burlesques, espectáculos en los que el productor Florenz Ziegfeld la descubrió en 1910. Llegó a ser la artista principal en su Follies con sus números musicales y rutinas cómicas, además de sus escenas satíricas sobre el ballet clásico, las bailarinas con abanicos y melosas canciones de amor, como "My Man. El personaje de Baby Snooks, una incorregible niña que creó para entretener a sus amigos, se convirtió en la favorita del espectáculo Follies, y Brice la representó desde 1936 en la radio hasta su muerte. La comedia musical Funny Girl (1964, película 1968) de Broadway se basó en su vida.
